Children’s Home Manager – Buckinghamshire

A passionate provider of therapeutic services to vulnerable children and young people is currently looking for a Registered Manager to head up one of it’s homes in Buckinghamshire.

You will joining a long-standing and highly reputable organisation which supports children and young people with emotional, behavioural difficulties and/or mental health issues. They are well respected within social care and receive referrals from councils all over the U.K.

Within this role your main duties and responsibilities will be:

Effective running of a Children’s Home for young people aged 11-18 years with Social, Emotional and Behavioural difficulties.
Management of a care team, providing Supervision, Appraisal and Staff Development.
Dynamic Risk Assessment & Management through construction and ongoing reviews of Placement and Behaviour Support Plans.
Financial planning and budget control.
Active promotion of positive outcomes in each of the five areas of Every Child Matters.
Creation and review of Key-working and Outreach Plans and ensuring that Keyworkers are appropriately trained in implementation.

Candidates are required to have a minimum of two years (within the last 5 years) experience of managing staff within a children’s residential home. It is also essential that you have experience of supporting young people with emotional, behavioural difficulties and/or mental health issues.

A £3000 bonus is payable on top of the salary for this position dependent upon performance.
